New dwelling

We were about to start a new build with quite an unusual design, and we were debating what construction system to use. We were quite taken by an Austrian ICF system, VELOX but this required specialist structural engineering involvement which we were having difficulties resolving. The ground conditions were also quite challenging, and this required special attention. We felt quite despondent and we were considering reverting to a more traditional build method.
I was looking for someone who could undertake the specialist designs and after speaking with Mark, he gave me the confidence to proceed with the ICF option and its associated structural engineering requirements,
Mark took our initial ideas and turned them into excellent professionally produced drawings and structural engineering drawings, which included all the structural details for the foundations and reinforced concrete and steel beams. A detailed set of structural / construction drawings were produced, which set out exactly what was required throughout the build.
We were able to proceed with confidence using the best construction techniques for the ground conditions and get the steel reinforcing fabricated.
Mark provided a very professional service which included excellent drawings and 3D views, detailed construction drawings and materials schedules for steel reinforcement fabrication. Mark liaised with the manufacturers of the VELOX ICF system and completed all the structural designs needed. The detailed drawings were invaluable during the construction process.
We appreciated all the help and advice that Mark gave throughout this project, he was always very helpful and came to site whenever we needed help, very pleased with the service provided - his support was invaluable. If I was to undertake another project like this, I would have no hesitation in using Mark’s services and expertise again.
