The client needed to extend an original small stone rural cottage which was limited to two ground, and two first floor rooms. Their brief focused around an open plan kitchen dining and sitting family area, utility room, WC / shower room, study / office area, plus first floor bathroom and additional bedroom.  Due to the rural setting the character of the original cottage was to be retained, therefore a single storey side and a two storey rear extension was proposed which retained the original character. The final design met they requirements providing the additional living space they required. The images show the property just prior to completion with external groundworks and landscaping yet to complete.
